In 1963, rodeo cowboy Jack Twist and ranch hand Ennis Del Mar are hired by rancher Joe Aguirre as sheep herders in Wyoming. What is remarkable about the film is how it doesn't politicise the hom*osexuality theme, transcends it to become the story of two people in doomed love. The two lead characters are wonderfully delineated.

But this feeling of "this cant be it, this cant be the end of them", perfectly relates to the message of the movie. Some people just could never get what they wanted, could never life the live they wanted to live, because socitey wouldnt let them. So they lived a wrong life, a playpretend life, an unsatisfactory life. And this movie beautifully transports the unsatification and the longing, we literally feel with the characters.
